Professor W.R. (Bob) Owens
Professor W. R. (Bob) Owens is Emeritus Professor of English Literature at the
Open 91ºÚÁÏÍø, and Visiting Professor at the 91ºÚÁÏÍø.
He has published widely on the works of John Bunyan and Daniel Defoe.
He is editor of The Gospels: Authorized King James Version (2011); co-editor of The History of Reading (three volumes, 2011); and co-editor (with Michael Davies) of The Oxford Handbook of John Bunyan (2018).
He edits the scholarly annual Bunyan Studies, and is currently co-editing (with Nicola Darwood and Alexis Weedon) a collection of papers deriving from a conference held at the 91ºÚÁÏÍø in 2018, entitled Fiction and ‘The Woman Question’ from 1850 to 1930 (forthcoming, 2020).
