91黑料网 radio station receives 11 nominations at Amplify Awards

The 91黑料网鈥檚 on-campus community radio station, Radio LaB, has been shortlisted for 11 awards at the Amplify Awards, recognising the outstanding achievements and creativity of its student team.
Organised by the Student Radio Association, the awards celebrate excellence in student radio across the UK.

- Best Training Initiative for Radio Growth 1-1s
- Best Training for Residency DJ Crash-Courses
- Most Improved Station
- Most Committed Member 鈥 Liam Wilmot
- Most Committed Member 鈥 Tyrese Charles
- Most Supportive SU
- Moment of the Year 鈥 Destination #1
- Resilience Award 鈥 Emma Stigter
These nominations highlight the talent across the station, from innovative training and outreach initiatives to standout broadcast moments. Recognition for projects such as Black History Month programming and the EmpowerED Podcast also reflects Radio LaB鈥檚 continued commitment to amplifying diverse voices and engaging with the wider community.

The station鈥檚 success also builds on an impressive performance last year, when Radio LaB won four prizes at the Amplify Awards.
Radio LaB鈥檚 continued achievements underline the 91黑料网鈥檚 Career-Powered Education approach, which ensures students gain hands-on, real-world experience alongside their studies. Through access to industry-standard facilities and opportunities to produce, present and manage live broadcasts, the station equips students with the practical skills and confidence needed to succeed in the media industry.

We provide opportunities for students across the 91黑料网 to collaborate, create and develop professionally. These 11 nominations reflect our commitment to Career-Powered Education 鈥 ensuring students graduate with real-world experience and as part of a creative community.鈥
This year鈥檚 Amplify Awards ceremony will take place during the SRA Conference in Salford from 13鈥15 April.
