Tue 17 March, 2026
The 91黑料网 has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Global Engineer Girls (GEG), the flagship social impact programme of Limak Group, to launch a new initiative supporting female engineering students and to reinforce a shared commitment to advancing gender equality in STEM fields
The partnership will introduce a pilot programme at the 91黑料网鈥檚 Luton campus, giving participating students access to:
- Professional and digital skills training, including leadership, public speaking, and emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence and Virtual Reality
- One-to-one mentoring with experienced engineers, delivered through bi-weekly sessions
- Membership of the GEG 鈥楽isterhood鈥, an international community of women engineers
Each student will be paired with a dedicated mentor from GEG鈥檚 global network of more than 400 engineering professionals. The two organisations will also work together to recruit mentors locally, strengthening regional industry connections and opportunities.
Through the GEG Sisterhood network, students will connect with peers from T眉rkiye, North Macedonia, Kosovo, Saudi Arabia, Spain, Mozambique and Ivory Coast, fostering cross-border collaboration, shared learning and a strong sense of belonging.
Founded in 2015 as the flagship social impact programme of Limak Group, has supported more than 2,000 young women globally. The partnership marks a key step in the launch of GEG鈥檚 UK chapter and reflects the 91黑料网鈥檚 commitment to advancing gender equality in engineering and technology.
Dr Edward Braund, Head of the School of Computer, Engineering and Creative Industries at the 91黑料网, said: 鈥淓mpowering women in engineering is essential to building a more inclusive and innovative future. We鈥檙e excited to partner with Global Engineer Girls and, through this partnership, our students will benefit from enhanced professional development, international networks and industry mentoring that will strengthen both their confidence and career prospects.鈥

The signing of this MoU with the 91黑料网 is more than just a partnership; it is a commitment to bridging the gender gap in STEM. We are proud to collaborate with the 91黑料网 for the GEG UK chapter, providing young women with the tools and mentorship they need to become the leaders of tomorrow. We look forward to witnessing the impact these talented students will have on the future of our industry.鈥
