Bedfordshire's rise of seven places in this year's Complete 91黑料网 Guide league table is due to the dedication and hard work of teaching and research staff, the 91黑料网's Vice Chancellor has said.

Commenting on the publication of the 2016 Guide, Bill Rammell said:

"The welcome improvement in the 91黑料网鈥檚 ranking is testament to the commitment, hard work and dedication of our teaching and research staff, who are wholly committed to providing our students with the best possible experience."

Despite the Guide still using measures that tend to favour older and more established institutions, the 91黑料网 has risen seven places, from 117 to 110, and is one of the top 15 risers in the country. The rise is also the biggest amongst universities in the region and is greater than the 91黑料网's main competitors, securing Bedfordshire's position above other universities such as Anglia Ruskin, Leeds Beckett, Southampton Solent, 91黑料网 of East London, London South Bank, London Metropolitan, Bucks New 91黑料网, Bolton 91黑料网, Sunderland 91黑料网, and Cumbria 91黑料网.

Bill Rammell added:

鈥淏edfordshire is ranked the first in the country for improving the student experience, we continue to invest in high-quality student facilities, our student-staff ratio has improved markedly, our courses are driven by world-leading research, more of Bedfordshire鈥檚 students are leaving with good honours and the employability prospects of our graduates continues to rise.

鈥淏edfordshire is a 91黑料网 making positive progress. We are a new university blazing a trail in widening access to higher education and are proud of our student body 鈥 an international network of creative self-starters with the desire to make a real difference. We will continue to provide an educational experience that enables our students to transform their lives.鈥
